Matt Hill and Steph Tait Ran 11,000 Miles Around North America for Run For One Planet
The co-founders of Run for One Planet, Matt Hill and Steph Tait, ran across Canada & around the perimeter of America, totaling 11,000 miles, doing over 420 marathons as a dynamic running duo. While running a marathon each almost every day, supported by an amazing team of over 30 people spread across the continent, they spoke to over 30,000 incredible kids, in more than 220 presentations, destroying 30 pairs of ASICS, giving media interviews almost daily, burning over 3 million calories, and raising over $130,000 for their Legacy Fund for Kids. On May 8th 2009 – now officially proclaimed “Run for One Planet Day” in the City of Vancouver.
I met Matt in 2007 at Ironman Canada and have been inspired by him ever since.
Just this week he just completed 21 days of a marathon a day to commemorate the accomplishments of Run for One Planet. Follow Matt out on Facebook for ongoing doses of inspiration and positivity.
Here’s what Matt discovered over the past 21 days, running a marathon a day. By the way, he had to change this to a local solo adventure, as the onset of COVID-19 required a change of plans from the original route.
Way to go Matt!
